Resistance to organic and non-organic external agents

In fact, the skin protects most effectively not only from water, snow, mud, sand, earth, high or low temperatures, but is especially adequate for the specific “aggressions” one may encounter in emergency service, such as organic materials.
This element is held in high regard by manufacturers and has won high praise from those who have used the footwear in rescue efforts.

Why synthetics were excluded

Synthetic materials were excluded (except to a small extent on the HOVERING model) because, although they are commonly believed to be more water-repellent and washable, they are actually textured and therefore not completely smooth, and thus more at risk of micromaterial deposition such as sand, soil, blood, and others.

The guarantee of skin hygiene

Conversely, leather is a “living” material that ,in addition to providing protection in itself, is easily cleansed by simple cleaning under running water.

Ease of cleansing

Resorting to the need for a neutral detergent, such as marseille in minimal doses, and regular use of water-based water repellents, will restore hygiene and keep the skin’s perspiration and PH characteristics constant.

Breathability and flexibility to body heat

Breathability is a strength of this natural material, as is its ability to soften with body heat.
This allows the shoe to conform more immediately to the physiognomy of the foot, ensuring the shoe’s very comfort that inspired the design.
